What Versions Of Quickbooks For Mac
Features QuickBooks keeps all the information about your business in one application so you can manage the finances of your company. It provides double-entry accounting, inventory management, banking tools including reconciliation, invoicing and vendor management. New in 2013 is Intuit Payment Network for customer payments, documents attachments, updated reconciliation tools and being able to copy from a spreadsheet directly into a QuickBooks space. You can use QuickBooks for Mac with a single user or multiple users. 2013 System Requirements To run QuickBooks 2013, you need an Intel-based processor, Core 2 Duo or higher computer running Mac OS X 10.7 or 10.8.
2 QuickBooks for Mac 2016 User’s Guide. No single person can write a guide of this size and scope. I’d like to thank the other members of the QuickBooks for Mac team, including Lisa-Anne Chung and Liz Hamill, and especially Brooks Bell and Devon Hubbard. Also, this book. Is a generation of other guides that came before it.
If you plan on running the program with multiple users you need an Intel Core 2 Duo or higher processor. You need at least 2GB of RAM - 4GB of RAM recommended - and at least 250MB of available disk space. To print from the program you need a 100 percent Mac-compatible printer. You need Apple Numbers '09; Microsoft Excel 2008 or 2011 for Mac if you want to export data from QuickBooks to a spreadsheet program. Email requires Apple Mail or Microsoft Entourage 2008 or Outlook 2011 for Mac.
Limitations Intuit’s QuickBooks for Mac has fewer features than the PC versions of QuickBooks including no Premier or Enterprise versions. You will also find problems with employees working on a PC needing to access QuickBooks for Mac files, according to MacWorld’s Jeffery Battersby. If you want the PC user to use the Mac QuickBook files, the Mac user has to save the file as a QuickBooks for Windows file. Battersby also points out Intuit has not fixed an old toolbar bug and the program contains some new glitches like a check register button that does nothing.
QuickBooks for Mac is financial accounting solution from Intuit for small businesses and accounting professionals. The solution allows users to create professional invoices, track sales and expenses, and manage accounts payable. QuickBooks provides Mac-specific features. For example, users can embed a notification bar in Mac's menu bar, add reminders to iCalendar and sync contacts with their Mac OS address books. Users can also share data with Windows-based users.
Quickbooks On Mac Problems
QuickBooks for Mac's online version can be accessed on from anywhere and any device. The online version provides more features than the desktop version, such as automatic scheduling and invoice sending, advanced security and access for up to five users. QuickBooks for Mac also offers a mobile app for iOS. I've been using it for over 5 years and so far it's been good Overall, I haven't had too many problems. I had to deal with one missed quarterly filing but I think that was the EDD's fault since QB says that it was filed online but EDD says that it wasn't. Other than that, I've been happy.
Pros It is relatively a cheap option vs hiring an accountant and I haven't gotten into any trouble with IRS so I'm guessing that it's calculations are correct. Cons Lack of easy customer support. They really try to get you to solve your own problems with online stuff and no one to answer your questions. Highly Recommend Since implementing QuickBooks Payroll, our process has been streamlined which allowed our team to focus on other tasks which are value-add to the business.
Pros The support received during setup was outstanding. The whole process was very easy and all of our questions were answered. Since implementing QuickBooks Payroll we have saved a lot of time and frustration. It's great to know that everything is taken care of automatically and our employees like the timeliness. Cons I would like a feature to set up multiple employee groups which are on different pay schedules. Bookkeeping for non-accountants Pros I'm clueless when it comes to keeping our books and so the ease of use in QBO is really helpful. If I don't know what to do, I can find an article to tell me how or get someone from their tech staff on the phone to help.
It's easy for accountants to log into our account too once we grant them access. I like the ease of processing payments, invoices, and receipts, as well as running reports on how we're doing. Quickbooks online a lot better than the offline version of the software. Cons Some features need some accounting knowledge, I will say. Mainly if you don't know how to file a charge or something it doesn't tell you waht to do, but once you know (or learn from the CPA) the features are easy to use in the program. QuickBooks PayRoll is the Small Biz Solution!
I’ve had great experience with the ACH payroll integrative services. I love being able to print paycheck stubs from anywhere and not having to worry about missing a deadline! Pros I love being able to run payroll from anywhere (even the app) while traveling and on the go! As a small business owner who does a lot of the work myself, it’s critical to be able to pay my staff from anywhere in a simple way! I also really love the payroll reminders that come on email and the app! It’s also very easy to set different pay rates and everything is as simple as 1-2-3! Cons I least like the cost.
There is tremendous value provided, but as a small business owner barely able to pay oneself sometimes - the decisions have to be made about cutting apps and services. I would like to see a tiered system for more entrepreneurs to be able to use this feature when I recommend it!
