Just last week I purchased a replacement battery for my 5 from iFixit.com. I installed it over the weekend, with some minor frustrations (the original battery was pretty well glued down), I switched it on and it booted with 45% remaining. I charged it over night to 100 and its been smooth sailing ever since.

Previously I found myself having to give it a quick charge in work to get me through the rest of the day. Now my battery is of no concern exhibit A: Now to replace my ailing MBP battery. Side note, make sure to get the kit, it would be near impossible to do without seriously damaging something without the proper tools iFix it supply.

5-10 minute swap. Comes with the 2 specialty screwdrivers, no instructions but completely self explanatory. Flip it over, remove the 10 cover screws( keep track of where the 2 longer ones go). Remove the the 5 battery screw with the other screwdriver( keep track of the longer screws) pick up the battery and gently slip out the battery connector, just slides out.

Do the opposite for install -super easy-seriously Bring some new life to that old MacBook Air. 2011 13' Battery arrived 67% charged. The 'Service Battery' is gone, Charge cycles automatically reset itself to 1. I have a mid-2011 model 13' Macbook Air. When I bought it (actually in mid 2012) I spent more to put in extra memory, storage, etc. I wanted it to be a good computer for a long time. The specs are actually still competitive (if not better) than an entry level 2018 model.

The main problem is that while the computer is still excellent, the battery reached the point where it was totally shot. After about an hour of usage without the power cable plugged in it would go from 100% battery to 0.

I took the computer to the Apple store, thinking they would put in a new battery, and was suprised when they told me that my model was considered 'vintage' and as a result they dont carry these batteries in stock! They sent me to a local repair store, where I found. Overall this is an excellent replacement battery for a MacBook Pro I had repaired/upgraded for a client. I had expected to pay up to double what I was able to find from OMBAR. However my main complaint - an I already forwarded this info to sellers - is the OMBAR battery specs are not the same as listed on the product being sold. The page claims its a 6000 mAh battery, but the battery I received on the label said its 5000 mAh.

This is the only discrepancy. The battery however fits into the MacBook Pro just as I had hoped. It fully charged and has kept a good solid charge so far without any problem. Only time will tell if the discrepancy of 6000 mAh vs 5000 mAh will cause any issue for later. My trusty 7 year old macbook air was down to about 2 hours of useful time between charges, so it was time to replace the battery. Noting other reviews, I selected the Temark replacement. So glad I did!

Item arrived quickly and installed easily. The two Pentalobe screwdrivers appear to be of very high quality, and were easily up to the task of removing/replacing both the case and battery screws. Installation was a breeze, and took less time than I needed to clean 7 years worth of dust out of my computers insides. Best of all, the Battery Health 2 app shows this battery exceeds the mAh capacity of the original battery by 10% (5245 mAh vs the original 4750 mAh). I now know my first and only stop next time I need a Mac battery.

So I received the battery in a timely fashion. After narrowing it down to three different sellers I decided on the Temark. Unfortunately the first one I received did not work.

Went through several 'fixes' including from the seller, all to no avail. He sent me another within the same week. I installed it and it immediately worked. Was about half charged when I got it.

Fully charged it and ran the laptop as normal. After little more than 4 hours it was down to 12%. It did show the full 8460mah available and zero cycles. So happy with this purchase if I can get a few years out of it.

I used the string method to. This was installed in my husband's laptop for just over a month before it would no longer charge and the laptop was rendered useless. We had just moved out states, so we were even more disappointed that we were now stuck outside the US with a completely useless laptop, and absolutely no local options of replacements.Until Siker's customer service came to rescue! They were fabulous and helped exchange out our defective battery within a week! I'm happy to report that we haven't had any additional issues with my husband is very happy to have his laptop back! The battery is a great replacement for your MacBook pro. If your MacBook pro is having issues with the mousepad not being able to click or you can visibly see a lump in the middle of your keyboard, it is high time to order this battery.

Tools needed are 1.2mm Pentalobe and a T5 6 point screwdriver. This seller for Amazon truly and genuinely cares for his product and for his customers. Pictures shown were the given tools and the new battery and another picture of the old battery being torn out. I am aware that the screwdrivers show in the picture are not what I mentioned above.

The battery in my MacBook Pro (mid-2012 model that I purchased new) died suddenly (pulled the power cord to move to another room, and the thing immediately went dead). Needed a fast replacement, so I ordered and two days later this arrived. Charged up perfectly, and my laptop is totally happy. FWIW this is the second replacement battery I have purchased for this laptop, and the first replacement (from a different seller, many years ago) had problems from the beginning - the computer was never able to tell me when power was getting low (battery indicator turning red and suggesting I plug it in before the computer goes to sleep) but would just die without warning, and I was getting 'replace battery' warnings almost from the beginning, etc, though I did get a couple of years out of it before it.

This battery is excellent! I purchased this battery after exploring a great deal on Amazon to find the best (affordable) battery as part of my quest to rehabilitate a pair of older white unibody macbooks I was given. The batteries arrived about 2/3 charged, and upon plugging them in they charged beautifully. They have been in use about three weeks and consistently show three hours or more on a full charge. In every respect these seem the equal of OEM batteries.

I highly recommend these batteries! Be aware, that if results vary it may be that you are buying batteries for VERY old computers! I have a side business repairing computers, and I typically tell people that six years is about the time you can expect from a mac in general (others may disagree, this just an observation - I give four years for PCs). After that you are living on.
