Well since more people seem to be using this, I figured it was time to at least have my presence here so that I can help out with problems and discuss things. Mylar can be found here (with screenshots): For those that don't know, Mylar is an automated comic book downloader based on Headphones. While the template remains the same, the innards have been completely rewritten obviously (comics are not the same as music). It's been in active development now for over a year, and has come quite a long way in that short time thanks in large part to the users that have helped with enhancements, ideas and of course bug reports. The development branch is the most 'up-to-date', as the master only gets updated monthly - primarily due to the fact that alot of the stuff going into the development branch hasn't been tested fully (or at least to a level that I'm comfortable with).

If something's broken, the dev branch will have the fix more quickly than the master. Mylar does the following (amongst other things):. Monitor the weekly comic release list for series that are being watched (ie. Pullist). SABnzbd / NZBget / Blackhole support.

Multiple newznab support, as well as built-in support for DOGnzb and nzb.su. A Raw Indexer is included as well. I'd have to see the mylar.log file to determine the problem - but offhand, I would make sure that you're SABnzbd API key (the full API key, not the NZB API key) is correct in Mylar, and that you have the correct host:port, and category defined as well.

Other than that, if you post the log (or at least the portion involving the send) on the github issues I can definitely look into it further (instead of spamming in here). As an FYI, the mylar.log file located in the logs/ directory has much more detailed, verbose debugging information than what is in the GUI log (which only has the INFO level atm). As a fairly new comic book readier check out DC. They pretty much rebooted everything in 2011 so you're only about 24 issues behind. You can burn through a comic in a few minutes. Reading them all back to back is the way to go, just like tv shows.

Here's a list of DC's publications. Like I said, after 2011 they have what they call The New 52 which consists of their 52 publications. The cool thing about this list is it groups them according to their content. I'd suggest starting with the Justice League, its a good why to get acquainted with the characters. If you'd like to read self-contained non superhero stuff like The Walking Dead. You know, unlike the type of stuff where you have to read several other comic series just to get the full background of a character. Check out these: This series is amazing and the ending is coming soon!

Holy shit this is great. It ended in 2008, has 60 issues. This is a fun story and can be read in a night. This is a new Sci-Fi comic.

Batman

It's only 13 issues in. I'm pissed I found this so soon because now I have to wait month to month. The adventure time comics are awesome too.

As a new comic reader (about 6 months) this is what I've enjoyed. Check it out. I'll look into the boxcar.io - it had been mentioned before but some other items took precedence over any new notifications being setup. I'll queue it up on the to-do. Manual post-processing can be run 2 different ways:.

browse to, you'll see on the 2nd tab the Manual Run option. Just throw in the full folder path to the comics that you want it run against and click on Go! (it will only post-process comics currently on your watchlist, if a comic isn't on your watchlist it won't post-process and move it). enter in the URL directly -. The idirectory screen will replace the Manage tab (on the main screen) in the next commit. Note that if you're on windows, the 'easiest' way is to use the GUI since you can use: and and not have it cough up (the url method will die at this point since it's not urlencoded as of yet). Boxcar support is available in the latest development build (just awaiting boxcar review for it to be added to list of applications).

In hindsight, Court of Owls is pretty good, it just happened to come a bit to soon after The Black Glove which it is a bit too similar to. His new origin story is solid, too, though sacreligious to some.

Batwoman was consistantly good, at least up until the creative shuffle, at which point I lost track. Grayson is KILLING it but is pretty much cordoned off from the rest of the Batverse. Batman and Robin tends to be either love it or hate it (generally leaning more towards the love it), though it does briefly regress Damian as a character so that the Nu52 has a chance to build him up again its own way. The picture you linked is from Batwoman. Start with Elegy, which is pre n52, it's great. As for other books, most of them are actually pretty damn good.

Snyder's Batman is the main book, it's amazing. Batman and Robin and Batman Inc. Is now over), were both also good, but more team oriented. Batgirl I really loved up until Cameron took over (#34 I think), and Nightwing (now Grayson) was also really enjoyable. Detective Comics was pretty mediocre until Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato (the same guys who did Flash from #1-30) recently took over, and now it's great. The only book I wouldn't recommend is The Dark Knight, it's just pretty superfluous. Tim Seeley and Tom King's Grayson is one of DC's best ongoings, if not the best.

It's a swashbuckling spy story with a lot of character and subtlety. Kyle Higgins' Nightwing series before that is also generally good, starting with. Genevieve's Catwoman run starting with #35 in an intricate mob drama. Gotham Academy is a fun little 'Scooby-Doo-meets-Harry-Potter' teen mystery book with some gorgeous art.

Gotham by Midnight is an X-Files-esque series about a team of cops that investigate the paranormal. Very interesting art style. As for Batwoman, you can't go wrong with Greg Rucka's. The first few trades of the New 52 series (before JH Williams left the title) are also worth reading, starting with.
