Vmware Fusion Pro 10.0.1 For Mac

Oct 12, 2017 - VMware Fusion Pro 10 will not run on imacs built before 2011, that. I was able to downgrade and install Fusion 8 on my imac and it ran great.

  1. Vmware Fusion 11

Hi All, Recently I noticed that the VM Fusion image for my Windows 10 machine was growing a lot in size so when I tried to reclaim the space I noticed that the reclaimable space was not given back to the host system but instead it was showing up as a used space. As I wanted to get rid of a number of applications I reverted back to an almost two year Windows 10 image that did not contain any of the unwanted apps. After having updated some small stuff and my uninstalled Microsoft Office 365 subscription.

I turned of the VM and noticed that there was some unclaimed space. So before updating the latest Windows Creators pack I ran the reclaim space in VM ware fusion. Still the same behaviour as mentioned above.

I have attached two screenshots which show the image during the reclaim action which indicates the reclaimable space. The second screenshot just shows the same over all size but just represents it as used. Macbook Pro 2015 - OS High Sierra VMware Fusion 10.0.1 Pro (6754183) Client OS: Windows 10 64 Professional HDD: Disk size 200GB NOT using pre-allocated disk space I never ran into this before and am guessing (wild guessing on my side ) that this could be related to the latest upgrade. Anyone seen this behaviour? Any solution?

Thanks in advance, Marc. I've been a long-time user of Fusion, and have upgraded in the past in order to cope with the vagaries of host/guest OS changes - I think it's fair enough to need to do so every now and then, at least. Anyway, I just moved OSX to High Sierra, and guest Windows 10 is now at Creators Update. Using Fusion 8.x, things went badly: Fusion couldn't see the Bootcamp partition. I googled, tried a few of the suggestions (deleted existing vm files, added boot.ini, ran vmware-fusion-bootcamp-master, etc.). At this point, I'd wasted enough time that it seemed sensible to upgrade to the latest version of Fusion, as it states very clearly that it works with HS and Creators Update. But it doesn't.

I get a different problem now: Fusion can't see the EFI VmWare Virtual IDE hard drive that I assume it's trying to mount my bootcamp partition as. So which platforms has 10.0.1 actually been tested on? Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any advice gratefully received, please.

10.0.1

Hi, I have VMWare fusion Professional Version 6.0.6 (2684343) I have one virtual machine with windows 7 pro and 2 drive C and D yesterday during my work on my VM machine I get an error message 'operation on file vmdk failed' so I cancel the message, then machine closed, I fix the VMDK file as mention in then fixing told me that file was corrupted and fixed successfully, I started the machine and start to work again, and again I get teh same message, and I repeat the above task many times but always I get the same error. So I tried to make a full clone of the machine, as well clone failed, then I started machine and I did windows defragmentation for drive C and drive D for drive C it works fine, but for drive D once defragmentation reaches 2% same message appear again. So then I found that when I start to work on drive D I get a message, but if I work on drive C there is no issue what can be a resolution for that please. I had Ubuntu 17.04 running in VMware when suddenly the whole macOS system slowed down and became nearly unuseable.

Vmware Fusion 11

I was running sudo apt-get upgrade inside a terminal in Ubuntu when I noticed the command didn’t seem to get executed since the terminal became stuck. Shortly thereafter macOS threw out a “disk space almost full” notification and as I checked the.vmware file inside my documents folder it had grewn from 15GB up to 2 TB taking up all my disk space. I killed every VMware process, deleted the.vmware file and rebooted my Mac. Now everything’s working again but I figure this shouldn’t happen normally. I do have Fusion 10.0.1 installed on a Mac OS 'High Sierra (10.13.1) and on it running a Windows 10 with Skype for Business 2016. I tried every possible setting for my headset, but the sound quality is still very poor.! For the Horizon client there is a virtualization pack for Skype for Business.

Does this exists as well for the Fusion client? Running the same headset with the Skype client on the Mac OS, everything works fine - so it isn't an issue with the installed headset. Thanks in advance for some feedback. Existing VMs of guest OS X work fine, but any new, or VM that upgraded to 'hardware 14' and the latest VMware tools installed, will not change the guest's display resolution no matter what settings are chosen.

Either in Fusion Preferences or the guest's display settings. Going full screen doesn't work either, the display for the guest remains the same resolution. I'm not on a retina display but it makes no difference if I chose 'Use full resolution for Retina Display' or not. It makes no difference if I choose 'Use Fusion Display Preferences', 'Resize the virtual machine and the window' or 'Stretch the virtual machine in the window' (or the screen versions). It always behaves in the 'stretch' mode. There are no choices in display resolution in the guest's System Preferences-Displays other than the size it is stuck on (1024x768).

Hi, after the last update of OSX. I start my Windows 10 virtual machine on Fusion 10, at the beginning it work correctly then, after a while, I get Unidentified Network error message in the windows network adapter. The error persist to the a simple windows restart operation. The only way to solve the problem is to completely quit of fusion program, at the next start the network works fine for a while. I use wifi in my Mac machine and the network configuration on fusion is the default 'Shared with my Mac'. Before the update I used HighSierra 10.13.1 and everything worked fine. Any suggestion?

Thank you Domenico. Hello all, I can locate a whole host of threads asking how one would remove the VMWare Fusion 8 menu button (I believe it was officially called the 'Applications Menu') from the (top right corner) of their mac top bar.

However, after updating to Fusion 10, that button is no longer there. I may be one of the few who actually like that functionality, but advice for readding that button would be much appreciated. For reference, enabling and disabling said button in Fusion 8.5 went as follows: VMware Fusion (menu in top-left) Preferences. General, then next to Applications Menu choose 'Never'. ^I want to accomplish the opposite of this. And yes, I have checked that preferences pane, and the Applications Menu option no longer exists there. Cheers, -Christian.

Error message: Cannot find a valid peer process to connect to. I upgraded to MacOS High Sierra and upgraded to VMware fusion 10. Since then I can not open my existing VM's and I can not install any new VM's. I followed this article and tried the three options that it suggests and I still have no luck.

Each time I get the cannot find a. At this point, I am completely blocked with my work (I am a contractor) and if I do not get this fixed I will not be able to work at all. Has anyone else experienced this? If so can you help me! I am desperate.
